Abiraterone is an oral inhibitor of cytochrome oxidase P450 (CYP450) c17 that reduces androgen levels by inhibiting the key enzyme in androgen synthesis, CYP450c17, and inhibits androgen production in the testis and other parts of the body. Application: it is an androgen antagonist medicine, a kind of prostate cancer drug treatment, developed by researchers at the world's leading cancer research and treatment center, which is located in the southwest of London's royal Marsden hospital.
